Teddy Bear's Picnic

I went to bed Monday night and now it's Friday morning.  I have no idea what happened to my week.  The heat melts my brain and other parts too.
These are the bears who live in our bedroom, they sit at the Georgian table and have a nibble or two.
On the table is a small tea set, a mesh purse from the 1920's, a small pair of scissors in a leather case, a tiny ladies church flask to get you through the long sermons , a small glass jar with a lovely lady painted on its lid and a dance programme from The Primrose Dance 19th of April 1888.
It's a little scene that always makes me smile.

  2. My oldest and best friend has a big teddy bear living in house. I've even knitted him sweaters and a hat.

  4. HaHa...I will have to tell my Preacher Hubby...about the ladies flask...long sermons..funny.

I was interested in the bunny picture in the background. Wished I could see the whole picture.

The little table arrangement and teddy bears is just too sweet.

  6. What a lovely cool setting for those bears in all the heat. I feel my brain has been melted by the heat too - I can't seem to keep anything in it for more than a second or two:)

  7. Your table looks beautiful and you did a great job painting it. I have always loved the round tables like that.

  8. I hope you'll write about the people who once owned your treasures if you haven't already done so. Also love the bears especially the one with the pointed nose which must be very old.

  9. I could not tolerate the heat and humidity down that way. Bad enough here in Michigan. The humidity just does me in. I feel for you. Imagine in the 1800's when they wore all those clothes and no central air
