Grumpy Old Lady Time

Time for a little old lady rant.

Note to the new nurse in my Doctor's office, ditch the perfume.  I was only there because I was having trouble with my foot.  If I'd been sick your perfume would have done me in.

To my neighbors, many of whom have lived in this neighborhood for 25 years or more, there are no sidewalks here , never have been .  So when people walk here they walk in the street.  The posted speed limit is 20 mph, try it some time so we don't have to dodge you.

Advice to my foot, you better shape up or drastic measures will be taken and you won't like them.  The evil looking night splint came in today and I have a feeling it's going to make you very unhappy.

Enough ranting, have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

  1. get better soon foot!

I am scared to go to the local pub on foot to check it out as there are no pavements and people speed by like crazy!

  2. I will echo echo echo all these sentiments. We don't have sidewalk here either. Sometimes I think of following cars and telling them off

  3. Oh, know what you mean about the perfume. I remember once, years ago, coming home from work on the bus and a woman sat next to me who was wearing strong eu de cologne I ended up in bed with a migraine type headache when I got home:)

I have fortunately never experienced the perfume thing so cannot comment, but better than BO I wonder!! Hee hee!! Hope that your foot is much better soon and that it heeds your warnings to behave! xx

  6. Amen to the perfume! As with cigarette smoke, I don't think people quite realise how strongly they can reek....

We have some no-sidewalk stretches here too. It can be pretty unnerving when the cars fly by.

    Hope that foot behaves itself!

  8. I hear you on the perfume. I have begun well to tell the truth I never stopped complaining if the perfume/after shave wearer serves the public. Far Guy gets attacks and I get a migraine. Hope your foot starts to behave:)

  9. What is a night splint please? I have severe problems with my ankle and some days can barely walk - wonder if it would do any good.

  10. Ha ha! I'm with you on the perfume thing. Also those who spray everywhere with Febreze. Can't stand that smell. Hope the weekend chased away your grumpies.
