Folding A Fitted Sheet Part Two

Last month I posted a Martha Stewart you tube video showing how to fold a fitted sheet.  It was quite funny.  Well this week, instead of washing and drying my sheets and putting them directly back on the bed I decided to give Martha's method a try.
I went to the computer room, put Martha's video on and tried to follow the directions while Mac took pictures.  What a joke!  They must have been folding a sheet small enough to fit a baby's bed.  We have a king-sized bed and the sheets are enormous.  No matter how I tried I couldn't get them to fold like the video.
At the end Mac handed me a pair of scissors and I felt like cutting the darn thing up.  Instead I kind of folded it, rolled it and stuffed it in the linen closet.
I admit it, I can't fold a fitted sheet.

  1. That's funny! How do they make things like that look so easy. Your rolled up sheet looks neat to me. I could never roll a sheet like that!

  2. HA! You are so funny!
I must admit, I can fold a fitted sheet. I can whip anything into shape, except when it comes to my own body! LOL!

  3. I'm with you--I can't even make a queen size sheet fold properly, and our king sized sheets engulf me. Take that, Martha!

  4. We just changed out flannel for cotton and was it a pain to fold the queen size sheets. Bigger sheets are a pain. Since we used to own a resort I can fold a double size or twin size fitted sheet really quick....but Queen size forget it. For now the cotton ones go from the bed to the washer and dryer and back on the bed...much simpler than folding:)

  5. The only thing worse than folding a fitted sheet is ironing it!

  6. I have trouble with folding large sheets in my tiny basement laundry "area" (not even a separate room). ugh My MIL taught me how to properly fold fitted sheets ... tuck the fitted corners into each other one at a time. Oddly enough I peeked at my own mother's sheets one time and saw she folded them the same way, but I was too ignorant to notice ;)

  7. Love it! Don't tell Head Office, but I think the easiest thing to do is exactly as you have done, leaving the ironing until you've got the wretched thing on the bed.
