Running Around

Went to the post office to mail  a package to our daughter, some of her stuff she now wants in Japan and one of her Christmas presents, a George Foreman grill that was too big and too heavy for her suitcase.  We thought with  Christmas over the post office would be empty, HA!  The line was out the door, but it moved fairly quickly.  It takes a while to mail an overseas package, everything that you've put on the Customs Slip must be typed into the system too.  And we won't even talk about the cost, told our daughter to think of it as another Christmas present.
Doctor visit for Mac and then off to the grocery store to stock up on some healthy food, think apples instead of chips, to start the New Year.
Now it's time to work on the house.

  2. I use to work on Post Office counters here in the UK. I always hated the day after the Christmas closing, it was always non-stop until about 3pm.

  4. I had a package to mail yesterday (birthday gift to daughter whose birthday is New Years Eve) and had the same surprise. I thought no one would be in the PO and it was far busier than when I mailed Christmas packages! And yeah, we are back on the veggie train, too!

  7. My nephew who lives in Japan was telling us yesterday that there are no ovens in Japan and no cookies. He said he should get a crock pot! :)

  8. I had to send some parcels overseas before Christmas. It's not easy - but our system seems slightly better than yours. At least there was no typing involved! Happy New Year!
