March 2

I'm a little slow, but I got my new header up.  This is one Mac painted many years ago, but it always makes me smile so I've never let it go.  I did nothing yesterday, NOTHING, don't know if it's allergies, oldergies or what but I had no energy.  Not a whole lot better today, but I got a little bit done.
Went outside to plant more Hyacinths, I always think of Hyacinth Bucket when I write that, and immediately gouged a hole in my leg with a lantana bush  that Mac had cut back so it couldn't attack me.  Our Hyacinths are doing fantastic and I wanted more so another dozen have gone in.
My March table is set and Miss Kitty, when she's not busy licking all her winter fur off and making hairballs, says it looks pretty good.

  1. I hope you get your energy back soon, Janet. I know how you feel. If I don't get my work done in the morning, forget about it as my energy is zapped by afternoon! Your tablescape is so lovely. Such beautiful vintage/antique pieces you have! And, Miss Kitty is adorable. I'm sure she can hardly wait to curl up in the middle of your beautiful table (just like my Lilly!) Pat xx

  2. I had the same energy level yesterday--just couldn't get fired up. I got some things done but only by pushing myself. A little better today. Love your March table--definitely greening up down there!

  4. I like the painting of the elf on the toadstool! Good job, Mac!
I know what you mean about energy, I thought I might be needing a bit of caffeine in the afternoon so I got some Diet Dr. Peppers (on sale at Publix). Just what the doctor ordered! HA!

  5. The header is fantastic. Such talent! I'm a morning person now, hadn't used to be. It crept up on me when I wasn't looking. Hope you're feeling a bit better today,.

  6. Cute new header painting, no wonder it always makes you smile. Cats are good at making hair balls aren't they? Hope your energy comes back soon, I've definitely been feeling low in energy this week, must be the change of the seasons:)

  8. Great blog header! I think when those low energy days hit it's best to just take it easy. It's our body's way of telling us we need a day off. :-)

  9. The picture Mac painted is so cute, and I kept meaning to tell you how much I loved the painting before...of the little mouse. I LOVE that one! Your table does look pretty. I used to watch all those Hyacinths Bucket shows on Channel 4. She and Richard were so funny. Poor Richard! :) Oh, Keeping up Appearances, that was it!

  10. That picture made me smile! I love it. Sometimes when you have a day like that, it seems you should just go with it. I think I have the oldergies too! Someone told me I should have more energy for 58. Maybe so...but it just isn't there. I think I'll go get a latte' and relax!

  13. I love hyacinths, I usually have them in the house and the perfume is just beautiful but I haven't grown any this year. I wonder if it's too late to buy some now.
