Christmas Present/Birthday Present

It took about 9 months to complete.  It missed its first deadline, it was supposed to be a Christmas present.  But it made it for the second one and turned out to be a good gift.  Our daughter loved it.  I picked it because it looked like an Arthur Rackham illustration and she loves Arthur Rackham.
Now if I can only finish the afghan I've been working on forever I can start my next cross-stitch--if it doesn't blind me.

  3. It is fabulous. From the thumbnail, before I opened the post, I thought it was scherenschnitte, which might have been an accomplishment beyond belief, but so is this wonderful Alice.

  5. If it doesn't blind you...my step-mother likes to cross stitch but she says it is too hard for her to see these days!

  9. How lovely! I can spot Alice and the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat, I'm sure there are other characters in there. Glad your daughter loved it after all your hard work:)

  10. I can see why it may have become a little monotonous, all that black and no colour, but the effect is fabulous and definitely worth all the hard work. Love the grinning Cheshire Cat. No wonder your daughter was so pleased with it.
