In the BackYard Again

Mac called me out to the backyard to greet some visitors,  We had 8 Canadian Geese out there.  Usually we'll get a mated pair, but this year it looks like a flock of bachelors have landed.  We always call them the Honk Brothers.  We fed  them a load of bread and just enjoyed the sunshine.

    The arrival of Canadian geese in spring and their departure in autumn have defined changing seasons where ever I've lived.

    Beautiful birds. So nice to see them in nature and not in the local pond at the park.

    It looks so pretty there and I love the geese. We have a few fly over the pond occasionally but they rarely stop. When one does stop for a rest our old Muscovy duck chases it away.

    What a lovely place your backyard is. The birds are pretty. They look so happy.

    How wonderful to have the geese so close. At one time I could get out to nearby lakes to see them arrive. Love to see them in flight.

    How wonderful, we have a few visitors in the croft behind the outbuilding. They are so majestic.

    Wow, if a female flies in she will be the belle of the ball. Didn't know the bachelors hung out together.

    How fun! There are geese down by Madison but none have come back to our area yet.

    Love the honk brothers! Haha! We have a lot of geese and every year a couple of couples that hang around and make a little family. We love watching them grow up. Yay Eagles, huh!! Showed those cheating Patriots!!!
