Update

I'm not very good at sharing personal information, but I don't want to leave you all wondering what's going on.  I just finished my first round of chemo therapy and will start the next on the 28th, at that time radiation will also be added.  It's not been easy, but I've had wonderful care, both from my treatment center and my wonderful husband.  He's been my rock.  Hopefully we're going to win the war.

  1. Janet--you've been often in my thoughts recently--I had a sense that you were battling cancer. Treatment options, while unpleasant, have been successful for a number of my friends, and I pray you'll be among those who have a complete recovery.

  34. No I have 3 rounds plus 6 weeks of radiation.

  35. You can do this, Janet! Hang in there. When we went through this we counted each day of treatment down on a calendar. Make sure you take good care of your skin while undergoing radiation and don't be surprised if it knocks the stuffing out of you--it does make you tired (you always think of the chemo as making you sick and tired-but the radiation really wears you down). Get as much rest as you can and don't push yourself. I. Know. You. can do this!

Hubby was Stage 4 cancer-inoperable- almost no hope-He had 37 days of radiation in a row and 6 weeks of chemo and has been cancer free for 3 years next month. There are miracles out there and many of them come through the world of medicine.

If you want prayer let me know and I will do a post for you on my blog. I think prayer is what saved John's life. xo Diana
