Japanese cuisine is different, as I know from my friendship group, but trying new food is part of the enjoyment of the trip there. I like the new painting. The sheep and dog coming towards the viewer makes it interesting and endearing. Have a lovely weekend. I'm sure the fish is great, I'm just no a fan of fish anywhere, shrimp yes, crab yes, even fried oysters, but not fish. My husband is like our daughter and will eat most things so we'll be fine. I'm really not worried about Japan, I'm actually worried about Cambodia, we're going there too.Mac n' Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05732924562630675589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-911604654446032587.post-83350450962974479582016-05-06T08:46:36.268-07:002016-05-06T08:46:36.268-07:00What fun to travel to Japan! Yet, my little grandson eats everything including escargot which are his favorite! Happy Mothers Day. The fish is so good .They have the best pork and beef I have ever eaten . Fresh ramen with slow cooked pork and broth. Grilled meat at a Yakiniku. It is so good. But like I have said before the Bakery's have the best bread in their sandwiches with ham and cheese, tuna salad, egg salad. Just more "American" styled food. You will not starve but I am sad that you will not eat the food.
Okonomiyaki, a savory pancake filled with what you pick, Yakisoba noodles with veggies and meat or shrimp, Teppanyaki, Ramen, Onigiri filled rice balls, Tonkatsu a fried pork cutlet, Donburi rice bowl with meat or fish over rice.
But here is a dish that you will like korokke related to the french croquette deep fried potato cake rolled in panko. So good !
Do Not Worry you will have food to eat.

cheers, parsnipangryparsniphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236094827257446781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-911604654446032587.post-49008097655513400822016-05-05T20:38:02.203-07:002016-05-05T20:38:02.203-07:00ummmm my family lives in Japan and I go over often...ummmm my family lives in Japan and I go over often.
