We are still trying to get used to what is "normal" down here so each one so far has been a sticker shock one, but you are right, you got to be comfortable with the air conditioning, even if you use it judiciously.

I used to do counted cross stitch years ago; it was a challenge but made some cute things with it.

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-911604654446032587.post-54951019804648240652016-09-08T12:23:22.469-07:002016-09-08T12:23:22.469-07:00My mum was always busy with embroidery, both cross...My mum was always busy with embroidery, both cross-stitch and other kinds. I love to cross-stitch but you're right, it can be very hard on the eyes! Some people like to use lights with magnifying lenses to look through, maybe that would be helpful for you. I'm right there with you on conserving electricity...I do some weird things in the name of a smaller power bill. :)Jennifer Hayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04685253944514672324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-911604654446032587.post-33861081253820844972016-09-08T08:11:54.781-07:002016-09-08T08:11:54.781-07:00We're lucky to have 2 bases, Hunter Army AirFi...We're lucky to have 2 bases, Hunter Army AirField in Savannah, where we shop and Ft. It's enjoyable to do something creative like that. I'm feeling satisfied that I'm getting better at doing my new crochet pattern. I can pick it up and then leave it when my eye, hands and arms get tired.
