Tuesday in the Swamp

Summer has arrived here in the swamp with temperatures in the 90's and afternoon thunderstorms.  Sunday we went down the road to the Marina, the restaurant there, FishTales, has the best fresh shrimp and cold draft beer.  Mac also had a small Low Country Boil.  It felt so good to be out and about.
Today I went in the pool for the first time, the water was warm and felt good.
Look at the beautiful Confederate Rose growing next to the pool.
I'm feeling good and getting stronger each day.  Saw my oncologist last week and they're pleased with my progress.  Next week I meet with my Radiation doctor.
Leek Frittata for lunch today, I've started doing some of the cooking and that feels good too.

  5. The Marina looks like a good place to spend a few hours with a tasty lunch and cooling drink included. That's really good that you're able to get out and about, do some cooking and take a dip in the pool, especially as it sounds like very warm weather there.

  8. Oh..! I am so glad to hear that you are getting better!
The Marina is beautiful and what a charming fish tale! The fresh shrimp looks sooo delicious. That is my favorite so I sometimes fry shrimps at my kitchen. But our long tripped shrimps are not so fresh.
    Have a good day.

  20. Very glad to hear that you're doing well, though I would avoid eating Low Country Boil (what in the WORLD is that???) for a while. (In Britain, a boil is a kind of abscess...)
