To those who suggested Netflix, we had it for years and hardly watched it at all. We do enjoy Acorn and Britbox. Love Agatha Raisin.
Dr. appointment today, just routine.
Reading a strange book by Diane Satterfield, Once Upon A River. It's very strange and I'm not sure what I think of it.
Sent back my iPad and ordered a new Kindle. Finally got to talk to a human at Apple, I kept telling him what I wanted and he didn't care. Very disappointed they were no help at all.
Cold here, but nothing like the mid-west. Have I mentioned I don't do winter?
Have a good week.
Snow here today and a heavy frost tonight and my OH is sick.Hope he doesn't get any worse. iI don't fancy driving in this.Roll on Spring.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy your not caught up in the winter freeze.
ReplyDeleteWe might get some rain, we need it.
cheers, parsnip
Have a good week, too! It is freezing cold here, currently wrapped in a cosy quilt with only nose and hands poking out. x
ReplyDeleteI have that book in my library holds list. I'll be interested to see what you think of it when you finish.
ReplyDeleteIt is cold here, too. WAY too cold. I have that book jotted down to read so would love you to review it when you finish it.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when I saw national temps yesterday was that it would be cold in Georgia, and I have a very winter adverse niece who has lived there since she left college. But it's cold here, too. Colder, even.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter outside Chicago is holed up with hubby and kids today. The husband and son are in shorts and the husband had just returned from Starbucks. I was shocked it was open, but he said some of the shops are going strong even though school has been closed all but one day this week.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the Polar Vortex. Winter isn't my favorite either. Netflix is better now that it has lots more brit stuff.
ReplyDelete-40 here this am ...stay warm:) I watch Netflix at least once a week to justify the cost! It is better than going to the movies where everyone is germy:)
ReplyDeleteExpecting our coldest winter night in south-central Kentucky--colder than last night which was far from pleasant. The camper furnace is struggling, not staying up to speed, but the house in progress is warm with the wood stove. Books, hot drinks. I don't usually watch TV but we are engrossed in a gripping mini series. Stay warm and well--winter can't last forever!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this one yet, but have the ebook reserved at library. I remember feeling as you describe about her The Thirteenth Tale...though once finished I decided I liked it as a whole. Hope this one ends well too.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear from you. I too, find there's nothing to watch on TV so I listen to BBC radio dramas on YouTube. They're great entertainment especially if you are sitting doing needlework. Pat 🌹
ReplyDeleteWe are a split family - I have an iPad, my husband has a Kindle. But I have the Kindle app on my iPad.
