The Chalk Pit

Got my new Elly Griffiths new novel, The Chalk Pit,  and I finished it off in two settings.  Really enjoyed it, love the characters in  this series, they transcend the mysteries which can be a bit hit or miss.  But getting caught up with the characters is like meeting up with friends.  Can't wait for the next  one.

  3. Isn't it nice to have a series that makes you feel at home? Love the anticipation almost as much as the actual books. x

  4. You must have really enjoyed it finishing it so quickly. I like to follow a series, it's like catching up with old friends each time a new book is released.

  5. I hope it is still on Amazon UK, I need something new to read. I don't think I could read it as quickly as you, though.

  7. I am reading James Patterson's women mystery series and really enjoying the characters. I will look this series up as I know I am going to feel like I am missing my friends when I am done with this one.

  8. So nice when you read a book that you can't put down, but it's sad when it's over! I read one a couple of months ago and I was hoping it would turn into a series. It was wonderful. Of course, it had a bakery, a beekeeper, a harbor...what more could a person want! We are having freezing weather again...I'll be heading to Florida soon!
