Our daughter is out of town on a business project this week, I'll name no names and tell no locales, but shortly after she and her co-workers got to work a former employee of the company they'd come to do the work for showed up in the downstairs lobby and committed suicide. As horrible as that is it could have been worse, for he was armed with 3 guns and multiple rounds of ammunition. She and her co-workers were on the 3rd floor with their door propped open.
Except for severely wrecked nerves she's ok, but she has to stay there working till Friday and return there next week. Her whole team is beyond stressed.
I'm saying a prayer of thankfulness that she is well and as I've said before, this is a very unhappy country.

Thank goodness she is ok, feel so sorry for people that get them into such a state that they think the only way out is to kill themselves. So sad.

ReplyDeleteWhat a dreadful thing to have happened. How fortunate for your daughter and her co-workers that the only life he took was his own.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your daughter and her colleagues are safe, they must feel so vulnerable in that building now. Thank goodness too that the person decided not to shoot indiscriminately before shooting themselves, the situation could have been much worse.
