All Outside Activity Will Cease

It's going to be 99º here today and tomorrow, then 100º over the weekend.  We've been walking every morning before breakfast, but it has become a mighty struggle for me, the heat just wipes me out even though I get to jump in the pool when we get back.
So for the next few days, until it cools down, you know, like into the lower 90's we're going to skip the morning walk.  I will do an extra set of aerobics and Mac will do more time on his treadmill.
Hate to be a woosie, but I've never dealt well with heat and as I've gotten older I've been even less able to deal with it.
On a lighter note, saw my Retina Specialist yesterday and all is well, the laser treatment helped the pressure in my eyes.  Always glad to get that appointment over with.

  1. I don't blame you, there's no way I'd be able to stand that sort of heat. Good news about your eyes.

  2. When it's hot, hot, hot like you are experiencing it is so important to adjust to what suits each one of us ... listen to our bodies, and remember good hydration can help too!

Pleased that your eye appointment with the specialist went well ... great news.

    Keep well, keep cool

    All the best Jan

  3. Great cartoon. I don't deal with heat, either.

  4. Hi Janet, good news about your eyes. I loved the cartoon you shared; I too dislike the heat. I think I spent too many years in eastern Washington which was semi arid and extremely hot in summer. Hopefully, you will get a break in the weather. Keep cool, Pat xx

  7. Good news about your eyes. Understand about the heat... We had a bit of a heat wave here too last week and although not as bad as yours it pretty much puts a stop even to my indoors activities (like blogging)...

  8. Oh that's great news about your eyes! But I really would wither in temperatures like that, I almost did in the heat we had a couple of weeks ago!

  10. Heat. Yes. I hate it. I'm an inside person in July and August, cannot stand the heat and humidity. I swear if we ever move, it will be north!
