This is the 2nd one he painted |
My Second one is that I finally finished my Granny Square Afghan. I made it to go at the foot of the double bed upstairs. It was easy to make, I just kept getting distracted.
The Third is a rather strange movie we watched this week. I'm a big Jane Austen fan and have read all the books numerous times and I 've seen all of the movies and some takeoffs from the stories. When I first heard about Pride and Prejudice and Zombies I said,"No way!" I don't like zombies and can't imagine how they could be in a Jane Austen movie. But then I reconsidered and got it from Netflix. I'll be the first to say that it's not for everyone, but dang if it didn't make us laugh. I'll never forget the scene when Elizabeth turns down Darcy's proposal. It's a classic.
My Fourth is Miss Mouse. Several people have written about Beatrix Potter this week and this little candle holder reminds me of Mrs. Tittlemouse.
My Fifth is some little teapot sets that have been given to me through the years. My family knows I love teeny, tiny things.
That's my five and I'm too hot to think of much else. Cool Deviled Egg Sandwiched for lunch.
Have a good weekend.
Mac's painting is wonderful isn't it, I can see why it is popular with you and with the people who have bought them! Hope you get yours soon. Your blanket looks really great too, when it cools down you can look forward to using it! Thank you for joining in Five On Friday, I hope you have a great weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely painting - well done Mac! Your blanket looks lovely. I have that movie ready to watch just haven't yet. I love everything Pride and Prejudice so we shall see!

Stand your ground, Janet.... Mac's gotta come through for you. That painting is just so cute. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWho can resist Pride and Prejudice, zombies or not! Perhaps I'll give it a try!
ReplyDeleteDid you see the series 'Lost In Austen?'it was quite funny. Love the turtle psinting and your blanket too:)
ReplyDeleteWe love Lost in Austen, had to buy a copy and we've watched it a dozen times.
DeleteNow that is an impressive painting, you sure have a talented husband. Great blanket too, I am a fan of the Granny square. We have rain here yet again.
ReplyDeleteLove the turtles. They look lovely and cool. Jane Austen and the zombies sounds intriguing! Not sure if it's my thing either :) hope it cools a little for you soon B x
ReplyDeleteThose turtle paintings are wonderful, you may have a long wait until you get yours! Not sure about JA and zombies, think I'll give that one a miss.
ReplyDeleteLove the sound of your sandwich, even though I've just had lunch it sounds yummy.
We are still enjoying our vacation down here in the SW of France, we'll head back home on Monday where hopefully it will no longer be raining.
Stay cool!
Maggie

Mac's painting is awesome! I have a friend who adores turtles and would absolutely snatch that up. I love your afghan. While I do lots of things crafty, crochet isn't one of them. Pride and Prejudice with Zombies? I may have to check that out! Have a wonderful weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that header painting. I hope you get yours soon - though kudos that they keep selling out so quickly!
ReplyDeleteGoodness that is hot, but the turtle looks so cool, no wonder they are selling so fast. The teapots are so cute. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI love the painting! I noticed it on your header immediately. I can certainly see why they are selling fast. I sort of wanted to see that movie myself. Perhaps I'll give it a try. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the painting and the blanket.
ReplyDeleteLove his painting. Seems you maybe waiting a while and your blanket x
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lovely painting and the header too! Your tiny things are pretty. Do you see me smiling to them? Have a good new week.

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome post! Yes, I header, and the painting itself! How cool that he is selling them as fast as he can paint them. I've sold a few in my day, but never like that! :-) I hope he paints you one soon. The afghan is very pretty! It's always so great to have a finish like that. I didn't have ay desire to see Pride & Prejudice and Zombies (seemed like a travesty, in a way!) but if it is funny in places, I may break down and watch it. :-) Loved your sweet little tea sets! Hope you aren't too miserable there in the swamp. We've been to Savannah and loved it, but the summers are SOOO hot. I am originally from AL and I understand. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the header...don't know why that got deleted.
ReplyDeleteI love Mac's painting, too...and I hope it helps you feel cooler to look at it :) Cheers for making your pretty blanket, too, and in spite of the heat! xx
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky that it is hot, although too hot is not nice either, butt in Belgium it's cold ! I wear a long sleeve pullover !
