A Little Zilla Time

No cross-stitching today.  Today it was time to spend some quality time with Godzilla.  Got a nice start on him, but unfortunately life has a way of intervening I have to get lunch started.  Today it's Shepard's Pie.  And I have a question for my English friends, why is it called Shepard's pie?

    Cottage pie is a pie made with beef. Shepherds pie is a pie made with lamb thus called due to the shepherd/lamb link. Hope that helps.

    I was going to say the same thing as 'mamasmercantile'

    But another point - as my husband Eddie is a Type 2 diabetic, I use mashed swede (rutabaga) to top the minced meat. Swede does not raise his blood sugar like potatoes do. Shepherds or Cottage Pie made this way is tasty too!

    That looks like it might take you awhile! I prefer cottage pie, cuz lambs are too cute to think about being packaged in a pie.
