One: I made new "springy" pillows for our couch and finally put the Christmas ones away,
Two: Even though it's just the middle of January I've started decorating my table for Valentine's Day because I love the color red.
Three: It has taken me forever to get around to it, but I have finally cleaned out the two junk drawers in the kitchen. The one on the right looks like I running an optical shop and that's after I took out a half dozen pair of glasses to donate.
Fourth: My daffodils are blooming and don't my Pansies looks sweet.
Fifth: I learned the difference between Cottage Pie and Shepard's Pie. And I made a Cottage Pie yesterday. You can buy ground beef here, ground pork, ground turkey and ground chicken, but I have never seen ground lamb. Always good to learn something new.
Love the new cushions, the floral fabric is beautiful. I will be donating glasses at the opticians tomorrow, its amazing how many pairs we have accumulated over the years. How lovely to have daffodils coming up, such a lovely bloom. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe too have old glasses to take to the opticians. Lovely to see the daffodils, they make you feel that spring is just around the corner:)
ReplyDeleteI've been clearing out too. What a good feeling. AND I did my tax, which was a mental clear out of all the questions I haven't really been dealing with about all those numbers... :D
ReplyDeleteThe glasses made me smile. Maybe you can make some kind of art construction with them... :D
Everything in our house is shepherds pie, regardless of what it is made from - even if it were meat free! It is good with fresh shepherds in though, I find the bricks of the cottages a bit gritty in the teeth. Hee hee!! Love your teddies for valentines, I love that you love your softs so much!
ReplyDeleteLovely new cushions in such pretty fabrics. I seem to have a collection of spectacles ready for donation too!
ReplyDeleteI like it all, and especially the daffodils.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty cushion fabric. That will certainly add a touch of spring to your couch.
ReplyDeleteAnd I do like your blog header... and what fun to see your daffies and pansies. Still too early for that around here.
Wishing you a lovely weekend,
Brenda
Wow how lucky you are that things are growing! We're all suffering from a case of winter blues - little/no sunshine makes me feel so grumpy. I can't wait to see anything grow!
ReplyDeleteHappy Five on Friday
Your spring flowers are so delighting - I have to wait for a couple of months.... Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your new pillows; perfect for springtime. Enjoy your weekend dear one. Pat xx

ReplyDeleteTruly is time to put away xmas pillows and such, but I'm prolonging it too. Guess I will have to look up the difference between the two pies as I'm left here hanging!
ReplyDeleteI really like the fabrics in your new pillows; they are bright and cheery. No spring flowers here for awhile so it's nice to see them on blogs like yours. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow you have been busy. Such pretty pansies and cushions. I need you to come and sort my drawers :) B x
ReplyDeleteI've noticed since the cold spell a few daffodils have been blooming around here, too. I planted some fancy ones in October. I should see if they are coming up.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a Valentines teddy bear picnic on your table! I love the one peeking over te edge of the bowl.
Daffodils are such a cheery sight at this time of the year. Have a good weekend 😊
ReplyDeleteI like the spring cushions. And it's nice to see daffodils. They always say Spring to me.
ReplyDeleteDaffodils in January! What a nice sight. We have to wait a bit longer for those signs of spring around here. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteAt the grocery store on Thursday I almost bought a bouquet of Daffodils and love seeing yours and your Pansies! I have been thinking about Valentine's Day but not put out any special decorations yet...but then I have quite a few hearts out throughout the year :) Just seeing your pretty pillows gives me hope that Spring will come. Wishing you good days! 🙂
