Update
I'm not very good at sharing personal information, but I don't want to leave you all wondering what's going on. I just finished my first round of chemo therapy and will start the next on the 28th, at that time radiation will also be added. It's not been easy, but I've had wonderful care, both from my treatment center and my wonderful husband. He's been my rock. Hopefully we're going to win the war.

When does your air conditioner go out? When temperatures are consistently in the upper 80's that's when, of course. We're luck...

Janet--you've been often in my thoughts recently--I had a sense that you were battling cancer. Treatment options, while unpleasant, have been successful for a number of my friends, and I pray you'll be among those who have a complete recovery.

ReplyDeleteStay strong...you can fight this and win! Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI hope Round Two is your last one and that you sail through it. Kudos to Mac for doing his very important job so well. Sending more prayers and hugs your way.
ReplyDeleteNo I have 3 rounds plus 6 weeks of radiation.
ReplyDeleteYou can do this, Janet! Hang in there. When we went through this we counted each day of treatment down on a calendar. Make sure you take good care of your skin while undergoing radiation and don't be surprised if it knocks the stuffing out of you--it does make you tired (you always think of the chemo as making you sick and tired-but the radiation really wears you down). Get as much rest as you can and don't push yourself. I. Know. You. can do this!
ReplyDeleteHubby was Stage 4 cancer-inoperable- almost no hope-He had 37 days of radiation in a row and 6 weeks of chemo and has been cancer free for 3 years next month. There are miracles out there and many of them come through the world of medicine.
If you want prayer let me know and I will do a post for you on my blog. I think prayer is what saved John's life. xo Diana
I'll be thinking of you, Janet and rooting you on with positive thoughts and prayers. I'm so very glad that you have your supportive husband by your side. Sending you a big, giant hug. xo Karen
