Another Good Day today

Had another good day today, lots of energy and got a bit done.  Shopped on EBay for an anniversary present for
Mac, we have our 53rd anniversary in September.
We had a new filter put in our HVAC unit.  We got a new unit in January and part of the deal was that they'd change the filter.  Took them awhile and I didn't envy them having to be up in our attic.
I guess most of you have read about the fires in California, well yesterday we found out that Mac's cousin and his wife had their house burn down, they lived in Redding. So sad.  Here we're having rain every day, so no fire danger unless lightning strikes.
I went upstairs today for the first time in months.  It's 16 steps up to our 2nd floor and I was wondering how I'd do----well, no problem, yeah me.
Fixed a good lunch today.  Even every time we go to the Olive Garden I order the Shrimp Scampi with Asparagus.  I went online t o find the recipe and it was so quick and easy.  The recipe called for spaghetti, but I used Angel Hair Pasta.  Also used more lemon juice than the recipe called for.  Definitely a keeper.
Did some shopping at Amazon, would hate for Jeff Bezos to not become a trillionaire.
Tomorrow I start exercising again wish me luck.

  3. I am so sorry for Mac's cousin and his wife that lost their house in the fire. I once worked with a girl from Redding, she made my baby boy quilt for my baby shower. My boy is 28 years old now, so that shows how long ago that was!
Your recipe sounds good, I will have to look that up myself and try it!
I wish you luck with your exercise! xx

  4. I am so sorry to heard about Mac's cousin.
My home burned down in 1993 in the Laguna Beach Fire. Our was started by the start to the canyon, made me so mad. So many fires that year and then the huge earthquake in LA and north. That was some summer.
    Good luck tomorrow !

    cheers, parsnip

  11. I'm very sorry to hear about the fires and Mac's cousins. If you like that dish at the Olive Garden, can I suggest another? It's one they brought back that I used to eat every time I went. I actually stopped going for a while because I couldn't get it anymore! They changed the name of it and I don't remember what they're calling it now, but it's on the little "healthy" menu and it's a pasta with lots of veggies, chicken and a light lemony sauce. It's SO GOOD. I think you would like it.

  12. Okay, I went on OG's site to find it for you. They didn't change the name, it's still called Chicken Giardino. So good!

  17. It must be terrifying to lose everything in a fire like that.
