No air conditioning yet, they now say Monday or Tuesday, but they brought us a second portable air conditioner. They're noisy, but work pretty well. Once you leave the family room area it gets hot pretty quickly. We have a window air conditioner in the bedroom and I don't know how we'd sleep at night if we didn't.
Got my hearing aid yesterday and it's just right, I can hear everything.
Went out to breakfast today, delicious as always.
Hoping to have air conditioning soon.

I grew up on a farm; our farmhouse roasted in the summer, froze in the winter.
ReplyDeleteAfter I married and left, my folks bought a large window unit that did a fair job in the downstairs. Upstairs didn't fare so well.
they also bought a color TV and a working washer.

ReplyDeleteI am fortunate (I guess) in that we don't often need air conditioning. So pleased your hearing aids are working well, no chance that you will miss anything now.
Rotten luck that your almost-new air conditioner gave out in September. September was my favorite month when I lived Up North and now it's one of my least favorite because you are so tired of the heat and humidity by this time. Pretty hard to be without air living here. Anyway, hope you can survive the weekend and Monday brings relief!
