The First Gator of Spring

He is much bigger than last year, in fact we think he may be a new alligator.  Looking at his "rotundness"  I don't think we'll ask about the first robins of spring.
He's been cruising up and down the lagoon the last few days, don't know what he's looking for.  You know what alligators eat don't you, Anything They Want.

  1. How timely as my dearest is hooked on the Nature Channel and the alligator hunters in the swamps.

I had not realized just how big and powerful they are...yikes. How close are you to this big guy??

  2. The lagoon on is in our backyard. One year an alligator climbed out of the lagoon and unearthed in our backyard.

  3. Sometime my tablet is weird, I meant to write that he sunbathed in our backyard.

  4. Your signs of spring are certainly different from ours here :)

  5. Oh my goodness he's a bit too close I think - I prefer daffodils and crocuses as a first sign of Spring!

Wednesday in the Swamp

Doesn't look like much of a swamp here today.  Quite cold,  yes, yes I know it's really cold up north, but really, we're a 100 m...
