Laundry Room

This is my laundry room and the view from it.  Mac has turned it into a plant nursery and starts a lot of seeds there.  If I'd taken the picture a few minutes earlier you would have seen my ironing board.  i don't iron much, mainly pillowcases, and today was the day.
We've had a dribble of rain today and loads of wind.  Hate walking in the wind there are always branches coming down.  Today the trees were squeaking which means that branches were rubbing against other branches and that's not a good sign.
Time to go cross stitch again.

  1. A good idea to start the seeds off there, bet they do so well on the window sill.

    Enjoy your cross stitch ...

    All the best Jan

  2. Love your laundryroom/greenhouse! Looks like a wonderful place to do some ironing. I know what you mean about the creaky branches. It's raining cats and dogs with a good breeze here and I have to feed the birds under the swaying trees. I won't stay out long.....I don't cross-stitch, but a little crochet sounds good for days like this. Keep cozy. xx Karen

  4. Love the beautiful looking plants, this is the first year in many that we haven't started some seeds on all the window sills by now.

  5. Oh you have a beautiful spot for the laundry! Mine is in the unfinished basement with barely enough room to turn around! No window either :( The little seedlings look happy in your window. Groaning trees reminds me of my old home with all the willows creaking and bending in the wind like they were talking to each other. Enjoy your cross stitching!

  7. Love the seedling nursery.
The wind blew heavy and steady today, precursor to tonight's snow. I had a doctor appointment and parked far, far away. Walking back to my car I was so busy keeping my head down and ears protected, I walked two entire rows past my car. Which explained why the car wouldn't unlock in spite of all the pushing I did on the button.

  8. Your plants clearly love the light from that angle. I hope that storm passes quickly. Jx

  9. I always said a laundry room was ideal for starting plants. Friends laughed at the idea but their ridicule never stopped me.

  11. I'm sitting here messing on the computer and I know there is a big basket of ironing waiting to be done. The plants look wonderful in the window:)

  13. Always a bit worrying when you hear that rubbing sound, I like to get away from the trees when they sound like that.
