My Ginger Lilies have bloomed and they smell like heaven, a little bit like a Gardenia, but sweeter and spicier. When we stayed down at St. Marys last year the garden of the B & B was full of them and when I got home I went on the internet and ordered some. They didn't ship until this spring, but they seem to really like the shady, damp spot I put them in. I wish you could smell them. Needless to say I will order more.

What a beautiful flower, how I'd love to smell it. Thanks ever so much for visiting my blog and your kind words about my quilts. I made my first one last December which was simple squares and to be honest, a lot of my quilts are patchworked squares, I like them and I'm mainly interested in showcasing the patterns. There's still all those corners to line up! Good luck with your quilting, it's very addictive!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm not having much luck trying to leave you a comment. I called yesterday but Blogger was acting up. And just now when I went to publish my comment, I went in to change a spelling mistake and it got lost in the ether!
Anyway, aren't lilies flowers that manage to bloom gorgeous flowers with very little effort from us? I have some at our front door in a pot that I've taken some photos of to put on my blog.
I hope this comment makes it this time and that you don't get two of them.
