Poor Melted Candle |
Discovering that my one Autumn candle had melted I decided to melt it down and make some small candles. They aren't a very pretty color, but they smell good.
And still feeling a bit crafty and old timey I made some Autumn pillows for the entryway. I need to get going on Christmas stuff, but I haven't been very inspired lately, need to spend some quality time at Pinterest.
Making things is such a rewarding way to spend time--I often wish that the neccesities of housework didn't soak up so many hours of the day. Surely with garden weather coming to an end,I can take out some neglected quilt blocks and make progress.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for autumn. Would you laugh if I tell you that I like pumpkins for decoration, but I don't like to cut into them for Jack O Lanterns? I am so weird!

It's more like winter here today, torrential rain. What a year we've had weather wise with our non existent summer. One thing about the darker and colder nights is that it puts me in the mood to craft.
ReplyDeleteHow easy is it to make your own candles? I have a slight addiction to scented candles and I now have loads of glass containers that are so pretty, is it easy to scent your own?
ReplyDeleteps it took me 5 or 6 goes last time to prove I wasn't a robot, didn't realise I had to enter the number from the 2nd picture, elderly? who me?
