We had an apartment near the Cathedral and took pictures from the balcony.
And we ate way too much, but that's why we go to Spain, to enjoy the food. There were windows full of Jamon Serrano--oh if we could have brought one of those home with us--bocadillos by the score, plates of chorizo, pans of eggs, chips and ham, tortillas, lamb chops and steaks and oh so much more. The first thing we did when we hit the streets was buy a medio kilo of Manchengo cheese and olives. It was a wonderful week.
So happy you're hone safe and had a great time. When you told us you were going somewhere where Spanish is spoken, it was impossible to guess where! The food looks amazing. I've been to Barcelona a few times but never to Toledo. Looks beautiful. Pat xx
ReplyDeleteI've just had dinner, and you have made me hungry again! I haven't been to mainland Spain, but for years now we have gone to Majorca at the end of April for 3 weeks - we already have next year's holiday booked!

Toledo, right in the middle of Spain. We did Salamanca and Seville earlier this year, wonderful cities.
ReplyDeleteIt's many years since I've been to the Spanish mainland, glad you had a good time.

The food certainly looks amazing I think had I been there I would have come back double my size. Looking forward to hearing more about your great trip away.
ReplyDeleteI am almost drooling after looking at your food photos. We never went to Toledo but my man always wanted to go there. Instead, we did Majorca and Barcelona. Wish I could go back.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so good! Sounds like you had a good time! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, that tortilla looks good. And jamon Serrano ... just the thought sets my tummy growling. I had some in a Spanish restaurant the first time I went to London and I've never forgotten it (ham, restaurant, or London). :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip!
Your trip sounds fantastic Janet. Glad you are home safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteGood to know you're back safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteI visited Spain some years back now and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Food looks and sounds amazing.
All the best Jan
Glad you had a good trip and the weather wasn't too hot so you could enjoy the sightseeing and, of course, the food.
ReplyDeleteThe food looks delicious! One of my co-workers was in Spain earlier this year and brought back a bag of jamon-flavored potato chips for us in the office.
