Happy Halloween

Boy am I late.  Too many doctor appointments.  Between Mac and I we've been to see a doctor, of one sort or another, 5 of the last 8 days.  Yesterday I saw my Retina Specialist and all is well with the old blue eyes and today my follow-up with my regular doctor and all is well there except for a bit of pleurisy that I'll have to weather.  He offered me a shot or asked if I just wanted to ride it out.  Considering how sore my rear has been I decided to ride it out.
We had our first Trick or Treaters before 6:30, about 10 of them who came in a golf cart caravan.  That's the largest group we've ever had.  Miss Kitty loved it.  She's sitting in a front window hoping for more.
Here's a picture of our front yard, just love Halloween.  I hated to give it up when I became a teenager.  Hope wherever you are your Halloween is a tasty one.

  1. Your front yard looks great.
The grandchildren were out earlier this evening (it's just before 11pm here in the UK as I type this). They had a wonderful time trick or treating and looked great in their costumes.

Happy Halloween and Happy November Wishes too.

    All the best Jan

  4. Glad you are doing well-eyes and all--and hope that the pleurisy will soon be behind you. That is painful!!!

Love your set up for Halloween. It is fun to watch the kids all dressed up, isn't it? Hope you have a great night- xo Diana

  5. Sure hope you are done with the doctors for a while. Pleurisy isn't any fun though, I'd have suffered through the shot.
No trick or treaters - one od DH's friends was going to bring his kids, but guess he's changed his mind.
    That's a cute little scarecrow!
    Happy Halloween!

  7. Love your yard decor! We walked quite a few houses with two of our grandchildren and seeing the houses all decorated up was the best part for us grandparents. The kids would argue it was the candy handouts, but what do they know?

  9. Cute looking yard!! We got our first trick or treater around 6:15. I kept track of how many we got (59, give or take, sometimes they came up so fast and left so fast I may have missed one or two in the process). I panicked and thought we would run out of candy so sent hubby to the store for reinforcements only to then have an abrupt stop of trick/treaters around 8 o'clock. Now we have leftover candy which hubby will take to work. I hear pleurisy can "drag" on for a bit, but at least you know what you are dealing with.

  13. I love how you've decorated for Halloween. We don't decorate at all now there's just the two of us, but I still like to see all the little ones dressed up and enjoying themselves.

  14. If you lived here you wouldn't know it was Halloween. There was no noise, no sound of fireworks, nothing. Perhaps folk are saving it until weekend which, of course, will be rather late.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  15. Doc appts are time sinks, aren't they? And they seem to multiply like ants as we get older. Love your decorations! I decorate too, even if it is just the two of us and hardly anyone sees them, because I see them and I like it :) Only 2 trick-or-treaters this year; my dog scared off the first bunch, daggone it. She barks a lot and sometimes scares people so we put her in the back room after that.
