Getting Better

Had our 6 month check-ups yesterday and we're awaiting results.  I do indeed have the flu too.  Wednesday was the worse day, but am getting better each day.  Mac is on the mend, but boy howdy, what ever they gave us a shot of bruised our rears and they're still sore.
Another beautiful day.  Did our morning walk, but haven't exercised.  Though feeling better the energy level is definitely not up to scratch yet.
Have to go back on Tuesday for a recheck, the  doctor  wanted me on Monday, but I have an appointment with my Retina Specialist and I hate to postpone those.
I'll be glad when all these appointments are over with.  We have a short trip coming up at the end of November and I need to be feeling good.
We finished watching Shin Godzilla and didn't like the rest of the movie at all-----BOO-HISS!!!!
We've been working our way through Diary of a Wimpy Kid, a fun little show that I think was a tv
show before it was a movie.  Not a great movie, but fun to watch.  Do you remember Middle School, did you have an older sibling who made your life miserable?  If so you'll probably enjoy these.
I'm rereading Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson as the next book in the series is about to come out.  That's the trouble with reading series, you forget what happened in the last book and have to reread before you can go on with the series.  The next book is Oathbringer.  If you like fantasy it's a great series.
We've been. selected to be a Nielsen Family, we keep track of what we watch on tv each week and mail a diary in.  I warned them that we don't watch much tv, but they said that was ok.  If network tv depended on us they'd go out of business.
I made a vegetable beef soup for lunch today and I'm really looking forward to it.  First time I've felt hungry in a couple of days.

A few last pictures from Spain, probably my favorite place in Toledo, the Monastery of San Juan del los Reyes dating back to 1477.

  1. Happy to hear you are feeling better. Good that you have your appetite back. Soup sounds good, and good for you!
So Shin Godzilla isn't worth all the trouble we have had trying to find it? Guess DH can quite looking. HaHa.
    Lovely pictures from Spain, thanks!

  5. Glad that you are both on the mend - love Toledo - what a lovely place it is to visit - my first thought was that you were going to go to Spain when you talked about not eating snails.

  7. My son is a major Wimpy Kid fan. He has seen both movies, but he really loves the books. I always preorder every new book before it comes out; they always come out in the fall and I put the book away for Christmas.

  8. I am glad you are feeling better--and hubby, too. Hope by the time you go back to the doctor you will feel 100%! Those pictures of Spain are fantastic. We had a Spanish exchange student two summers in a row from Barcelona. She was a wonderful girl. xo Diana

  11. Glad to hear that you're both starting to feel a little better, though flu does take some getting over. Nice to see more photos of Spain, such a beautiful building.

  12. Hope you continue to feel better. About that diary idea... I wish our TV people would ask me to do one, but on second thoughts there would be nothing to read. Our TV programmes are appalling... nothing but bargain sales, antiques, cookery or sport. Nothing to interest me lately. We can switch to other channels but everything they show has either been seen before many times or is utter rubbish.

  18. I'm surprised they still do the Nielsen ratings this way. You'd think with all the modern technology, they know from your cable provider what you are watching, sort of like cookies on the computer.

  19. Well, you certainly have a good excuse, er reason, to lie about and read all day and plenty of books on your shelf to keep you entertained! Hope you get your strength back and lose the sore bum quickly.
