Happy Veteran's Day to my Veteran. He spent 21 years in the Army, 5 overseas tours.
It was a busy week for us. Tuesday I saw my radiation doctor, just a check-in, all is well.
Thursday I had a upper digestive check (endoscopy) to see why I'm still having trouble with nausea. They found some irritation in my stomach, but nothing else.
We thought about going out for lunch today, lots of restaurants giving meals for Veteran's Day, but it's chilly today and I think we'll just stay home. Denny's is giving breakfast tomorrow so maybe we'll do that instead.
Hope you'll having a good weekend.
Can't believe it's been 100 years since the end of WWI.
Glad to hear you are well! Where was the picture taken, do you know? -Jenn
ReplyDeleteIt was taken in South Korea near the DMZ.
DeleteA very handsome veteran! So pleased all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteHope for continued good health news, sweetie! Here's to you and your Veteran and all those who've served! xox
ReplyDeleteYes, 100 years - our Remembrance Service and Celebration on TV last night brought it home in such a moving way
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy to know that you are well now.. XOXO
ReplyDeleteI have spent the day watching marches (on television) and feel sad as well as proud.
ReplyDeleteI never found out what caused an internal problem a few months back. All the tests were negative. I remind myself of it every time I feel an ache or pain on the internals.
Thank your husband for his service. Glad you are getting good reports, hope that nausea subsides soon.
ReplyDeleteMac looks just like a young boy on his photo and handsome too. Wish him all the best from us all.
ReplyDeleteMy grandfather's birthday today. He was always happy and proud that the war ended on his birthday. It was his 26th. Long, long ago.
ReplyDeleteThank Mac for his service!
ReplyDeleteHappy to know you and your Veteran.
ReplyDeleteYou both take care.
cheers, parsnip and badger
This is the war I heard about around the supper table. Thanks to all our veterans; it's a hard life.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mac!
ReplyDeleteThank you for his many years of service. I hope you get some answers about your nausea.
ReplyDeleteYour veteran is very handsome. It's hard to believe that the war to end all wars was the start of what would become the next one.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope your nausea goes away! Are you doing anything for it?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it has something to do with your hair loss from chemotherapy. You had mentioned before you had some hearing loss. The tiny hairs inside your ears are what gives us equilibrium. I wonder if the loss of these hairs can also make you feel vertigo. Just wondering...I'm sure your doctor knows a lot more about this.
I do like the photograph.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
All the best Jan
