Mac has finished a couple of small paintings that he's going to put in his pub.  He used his own jugs and flask as models.  I love the colors.  Now he's working on some Christmas paintings.

I've been working on Christmas presents and boy my new sewing machine is making that a whole lot easier.  My sister Susie says she can't sew well enough to make gifts, I said neither can I, but people are going to get homemade anyway.  It is the thought, and the work, that counts.

  1. Love those paintings especially the first one. The stone jar marked Attercliffe, Sheffield started life about 7 or 8 miles from where I live!

  2. He bought the jugs in England so I'm not surprised.

  3. I am often amazed by what your blog depicts: as per your collection of mechanical toy models - fascinating!
Today though am blown away by your husbands skill in what is known as 'A photographic artist' it is his eye for detail and depth in that first painting that says it all - yes absolutely masterful workmanship

  4. Is your husband really going to open his own pub? Does he have a name for it yet?
We have three "locals:" The Sun in the Wood, The Castle, and The Spotted Dog.

Thanks for visiting me. Sorry that you caught me on such a glum day.

  5. Thanks to all for your kind words, and Bee, no he isn't opening a pub, it's just what we call the room upstairs with all of his pub memorabilia.

  6. Janet; You may yet become a pro with the help of that new sewing machine. Sounds like you're keeping it humming.
I like the rich green background in Mac's paintings.
