My Christmas Cacti (Latin plural), if you don'tcount the white one that rather sheeplike decided to croak for no apparent reason, are putting on a spectacular show. Starting just after Thanksgiving they budded out and now are covered in flowers. Well done!
As for the multiple spellings of the plural form of cactus, both are considered correct and I couldn't decide which I preferred so I just used both.
