“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
― Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
True, true, true. But sometimes it does come in an airplane, particularly the plane that will be bringing our daughter tomorrow. For that's what Christmas is to me, when we're together to share the joy, the happiness and the love that being together brings.
Oh how exciting. I'm so glad you will be spending Christmas with your daughter. We are thrilled to see our grandson Christmas who has been away in Illinois at college. He's on Christmas break, and I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the picture of the Grinch..as I made a cake today that looks like him. Just posted it. HaHa.
Our children and grandchildren will arrive by Skype; not quite the same, but better than nothing!
