It's now about 12:30 and we've had more than an inch of rain, it just keeps coming. Mac moved some plants into the garage or under a tree to keep the rain from beating them up too badly.
I've been a little under the weather today, I suspect an increase dosage of one of my medications may be the culprit (last week I went in for blood tests and the doctor decided I needed more of something). So having rainy weather is ok with me. So far I had a really good piano practice (lots of Baroque sonatas) more done on my afghan, and I broke my new puzzle out, sorted the colors and started the edge. Miss Kitty stuck her paw in from time to time, but I blocked her path and brought her down with me, under protest, when I left.
This is what it looks like in the garden, with no let up in sight.
Hope you're feeling better soon. I think you're best off indoors in that storm pottering about doing what you fancy.
ReplyDeleteA rain that comes down easily is so different than a pounding torrent that does more damage than good. It seems like you are getting a lot done in spite of feeling a bit wobbly.
ReplyDeleteIt has been raining steadily here since I got up at 6 and the whole yard is one big puddle. Like you, I've been finding plenty to do in the house. The Writer came back from the post office a few minutes ago and said he had to take a few detours getting home. By evening we all may need boats!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon !
ReplyDeleteHope you will not get so much rain.
We need our monsoons to start.
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
hope you feel better soon
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, it does take a while to become accustomed to new medications. The puzzle and such sound a whole lot better than been out in the storm. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHope the rain doesn't batter your garden too much, and that you are soon on the mend again.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. How you ever know it to rain so much and have so many named storms this early in the season!! We are supposed to get rain tonight and up until noon tomorrow, from Colin. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe had a storm the other night that beat the garden flat. Didn't dislodge the cicadas, however.
ReplyDeleteIt has been raining here every other day it seems:(
ReplyDeleteStay safe and I hope you feel better soon :) Pat xx
ReplyDeleteSorry you aren't feeling great, hope things Improve quickly. There seems to be a lot of bad weather around the world at the moment, parts of Europe and Australia have suffered badly from storms and flooding too. Here for once we actually have blue skies and sunshine.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that you have been under the weather. I hope you feel well again soon. Rain outside is a good excuse to potter inside and take it easy:)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better now, and that the rain has passed. We could do with a spot of rain, it has been unusually dry for Scotland and I had to water the garden, which is almost unheard of. Have a lovely week. x
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been feeling 'under par' ... hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you've made start on your new puzzle.
Keep dry inside.
All the best Jan
I hope that you are feeling much better very soon and that the storm will/has missed you and that you are all safe and sound - and that everyone else is too!
ReplyDeleteOh, those tropical storms must be so nerve-wracking! Hope you are feeling better and that the storm passed by without too much damage and that you are both safe. xx Karen
ReplyDeleteColin went right by my house and I say we had a lot of rain, not much wind but a lot of rain. I was wet all day long Monday and parts of Tuesday running in and out of it while working.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredtih
