In The Closet

I've been sitting in the floor of my closet wrapping Christmas presents.  I usually haul it all upstairs and do it in my craft room and then have to turn around and drag it all back downstairs to put under the tree.  This year I thought I'd wrap in my closet instead, that's where I stow stuff as I buy it.  Now Mac's going to put it up on the shelf in the closet.  The floor was getting crowded in there with all the bags and boxes.  Wrapped up it looks a bit better.
I didn't want to sit on the bare floor so I brought in the cushion I sit on at the computer.  My lower back had been giving me fits so I got a chair cushion designed to make sitting less stressful on your back.  But even using that my back is a bit achy now.
I'm due for my B-12 shot tomorrow and boy do I need it.  All my get up and go has gone.

  1. That cushion looks like it would make a chair comfortable. Good luck with hiding all those packages!

  2. Congratulations on nimble and spry! I don't sit on the floor. My grandmother did, at my age, with her great grandchildren.

  4. If you have gift to send overseas you have to buy wrap and send early ! And I mean early. The worst place (beside Italy) to send gifts too is the UK. Sorry all my friends, I am not sure if it is the weather or the how they sort or the strikes ? I sent a gift to Weaver one year and it never got there. Right address, plus it came back smashed on one side and looked like it was soaked in water. The correct address was still on (I always cover it with clear tape) and perfect able to read. Hello ? My Christmas cards usually take 2 to 3 weeks ? I was talking to Daughter about how bad our mail must be to have such lag time but she said we get it to the country and then it sits there. She shipped retail item all the time to the UK and Europe and they always took such a long time.
Best place for sending cards and packages is (for me) Japan. They are so fast. I have all my small gifts bought and ready to wrap soon.

    cheers, parsnip

    1. Usually have good luck mailing to Japan, but recently a package we mailed disappeared and finally after about 2 months it came back to us.

  5. I can remember the mammoth task of wrapping presents when the girls were young. Not many parcels to wrap these days.

  6. I know exactly how you feel, I got my B12 jab on Tuesday and I could tell it was due. You sound like you're doing well with your Christmas shopping, I'm stuck for ideas for most people this year so I don't know where to start.

  7. Well done on getting an early start to all that wrapping. I’m a last minute girl. You will often see me on Christmas Eve busily wrapping! Hope you feel better after your B12. B x

  8. Why don't you just put your Christmas tree in your closet and then, you won't have to move all the presents! HA! I am so funny.

    Backs are tricky, be careful.

  11. I don't have to buy presents anymore so no wrapping, but that cushion has stimulated my interest.

  12. I need to start thinking about sending seasonal greetings mail abroad as the last day for posting for Christmas is an early date next month. Your chair cushion looks thick and helpful for comfort, but sitting too long is tiring on the back. Hope you feel better after having a boost from the special vitamin injection.

  13. Wow! Aren't you the industrious one? Congratulations on getting a head-start on Christmas wrapping. I'm not there, yet. But no problem, because I have two cats who are ready and eager to offer their assistance. (I think every present I've ever wrapped has either a bit of cat hair stuck in the tape or a little bit of cat nibbling on the ribbon.)

  15. Apart from being impressed that you have already purchased presents and are indeed wrapping them (before the day before Christmas!), I'm thinking to myself, "How BIG is your closet???" Trust me, I don't have a single closet that is big enough to accommodate me, its contents and wrapping paper! Wow! -Jenn
