My new pan, |
I make honey wheat bread and it's so good, tastes like cake. I use a bread maker and it makes life so easy. How many of you make your own bread and do you use a bread machine? I decided a number of years ago, as we got older, that the fewer strange ingredients we injested the better off we would be. So I quit buying margarine, God knows what's in there, and started making my own bread. I'm working on my second bread maker and it makes life to easy.
Going to be way too hot around here this week until a much anticipated cold front comes through at the end of next week, so it's go slow and stay cool time.
Hope you have a great weekend.
I love my bread maker. The mix is always a little different each time as I like to play around with ingredients, but the bread maker makes it come out perfect!
ReplyDeleteI go through phases of making my own bread, I'm out of the habit again at the moment but I must get back into it. I do have a bread maker which I use for making the dough, but I then divide it up and bake bread buns in the oven.
ReplyDeleteI used to, until we stopped eating bread. I love it too much!
ReplyDeleteI love it too, but we only eat it for Breakfast.
DeleteLike the look of your new pan. Once had a really good bread maker and I made a loaf every day. When that died bought another which was useless, burnt every loaf whatever setting I put it on. Gave up and now make it by hand. What bread maker do you use. Would you recommend it ? B x
ReplyDeleteIt's a Sunbeam and we've had it 4 or 5 years, use it 2 or 3 times a week and it's never let me down. I would recommend it.
DeleteMaybe we need a breadmaker.
ReplyDeleteWe make our own bread as my husband is alergic to Barley and it is found in so many things nowadays. He makes the bread by hand, in fact has just made some rolls to go with soup tomorrow. I'm usually the cake and scone maker:)
ReplyDeleteNice pan. We don't have much time for much baking - it's a nice to do in our world!
ReplyDeleteThe bread must smell delicious, worth making it just for that!
ReplyDeleteI seldom make bread, try to stay away from bread actually, it is my big weakness. Honey wheat sounds like a delicious combination. x
ReplyDeleteyummy bread.. you did lots of thing..
ReplyDeleteI really like my bread maker. I love homemade bread and it makes things easier. Sometimes I just get it to do the work - mix, knead, proof - and then I shape and stick in the oven.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great baking pan! I have said I've never met a pasta, potato, or bread that I didn't like. I've eliminated bread from my diet, still working on the other two :)
ReplyDeletebetty
I make bread in the wintertime. Some in the bread maker and some I make myself...Finnish Flatbread. I like to mix my own flour half wheat and half white. Yes Butter is the best! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never had a bread-maker but then neither Joe nor I ate much of it. I do have some occasionally if I'm invited out but rarely buy it. Yes, I know I'm strange!
ReplyDeleteI love bread but try to resist it.
ReplyDeleteI tried a bread maker but with gluten free bread...it worked for a while but one of my recipes, the dough was too runny and it overflowed into the machine, what a mess! I cleaned it up as best I could and then, gave it away!
ReplyDeleteI love homemade bread, it is the best.
I have a breadmaker, I don't use it all that often but sometimes in winter I do. For Advent/Christmas I have my own tradition of making a saffron bread in it (with less sugar than in our traditional sweet saffron buns).
ReplyDeleteI never make bread anymore but do love it. And we haven't had margarine in years but do use butter. Sounds like you are feeling a lot better! You've been busy.
ReplyDeleteHome made bread is yummy.
ReplyDeleteWe like a low carb seedy one
